Revised competition due to changes in the list of training locations and simplified qualification requirements for performers The “Sanarip Insan” Project, Internet Society Kyrgyz Chapter, is conducting a competition for the provision of offline and hybrid format e-commerce training services for rural youth and women in the Kyrgyz Republic. Application conditions:

A brief description of the methodology and tools that can be used in Kyrgyz;

Resume, including previous experience and recommendations from similar projects;

Financial proposal, which should include all travel, accommodation and related expenses incurred in conducting offline training in target youth centers; The document package should be sent by 16:00 on February 17, 2023 by e-mail: [email protected] with the mark “E-commerce Trainer”.

Application selection Based on a cost-optimization approach, the Client will select an expert taking into account the combination of: (a) qualifications, knowledge, and skills sufficient to conduct the acceleration program (60%), and (b) financial proposal (30% of the total score). c) evaluations of feedback from participants in previous trainings and acceleration programs, referees (10%)

 

The Sanarip Insan project, “Promotion of Equal Economic Opportunities and Sustainability of Youth”, is implemented by the Public Association “Isoc Kyrgyz Chapter ” with the support of the European Union Delegation in the Kyrgyz Republic. Sanarip Insan is aimed at developing digital knowledge and skills among youth and women living in the regions. This project involves the organization of information events to increase digital literacy in collaboration with the media and social networks, the adaptation and development of educational and methodological materials with representatives of the education sector, and the joint initiatives on digital economy with interested parties and government agencies to train the youth in digital platform work – e-government, e-commerce, and digital economy.

As part of the project, involved youth and women representatives will receive the necessary knowledge and skills for successful start of activities on Kyrgyz and international digital platforms for e-commerce, digital wallets, classifieds boards, marketplaces, and receive advanced entrepreneurial skills using information technologies. The result of the project’s activities is an improvement in the indicators for the protection of youth according to the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and the protection of human rights.Top of Form

Technical specification for translation and adaptation of training materials “Computer literacy programs” into Kyrgyz and Russian languages

 About the Sanarip Insan project: The project “Promotion of equal economic opportunities and sustainability of youth” (hereinafter Sanarip Insan) is implemented by the Public Association “Internet Society Kyrgyz Chapter” (hereinafter ISOC) with the assistance of the Representative Office of the European Union in the Kyrgyz Republic. Sanarip Insan is aimed at developing knowledge and skills in the field of digital and green economy among young people and women living in the regions. The project also provides for information activities to increase the level of digital literacy in cooperation with the media and social networks; adaptation and development of teaching materials with representatives of the education sector, as well as joint initiatives with stakeholders and government agencies to train young people to work on digital platforms – e–government, e-commerce and digital economy. The long-term goals of the project are to improve the indicators of youth protection in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

According to the results of bilateral meetings with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as in accordance with the Strategy for the Development of Education in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2021-2040, one of the priorities of the country’s development is orientation towards digitalization of education, including the creation of conditions for the formation of e-learning at all levels of education and the training of digital personnel.

Based on the above, ISOC announces a competition among interested organizations/a group of experts to provide services for the translation and adaptation of audio and video materials of the training course “Computer Literacy Program” (Microsoft Digital Literacy) hereinafter “Program” from English into Russian and Kyrgyz, from Russian into Kyrgyz. The course program consists of the following sessions (presentations, text and video materials):

Course 1 – Work with computers (Computer literacy)

Course 2 – Access information online (Access to information on the Internet)

Course 3 – Communicate online (Online Communication)

Course 4 – Participate safely and responsibly online (Safe and responsible use of the Internet)

Course 5 – Create digital content (Creating digital content)

Course 6 – Collaborate and manage content digitally (Digital collaboration and content management)

Scope of work and expected results:

The terms of reference must be completed between February 24 – April 24, 2023. ISOC will discuss the terms of delivery of products with the selected Contractor when concluding the contract. The contractor needs to coordinate with the client at each stage the projects of products (translations of materials and audio and video materials, presentations). See Appendix 2 and Appendix 3 for material examples.

Place of implementation – Bishkek

Accountability and coordination: As part of the execution of this technical assignment, the Consultant is accountable to the Coordinator of the Sanarip Insan project. The Consultant needs to inform the Coordinator about the progress of the assignment, and about any difficulties encountered in the process of doing the work.

Contract form: The preferred form of the contract is a civil law contract for the provision of services, which requires the applicant to be registered as an individual entrepreneur or a legal entity.

Payment terms: Payment for the services rendered will be made upon the development of the course and after its testing on the basis of the invoice issued and the Act of Acceptance of the services rendered by wire transfer by means of a payment order by transferring funds to the Contractor’s settlement account specified in the payment invoice. All tax and social deductions for this assignment will be included in the amount of the contract and are the responsibility of the Contractor. Information about reporting will be provided additionally.

  • Letter of interest indicating compliance with the stated requirements and the implementation of similar works;
  • Summary and portfolio of experts;
  • Commercial offer indicating the cost of work in the format “number of days and the cost of payment in euros” (Appendix 1);
  • Three letters of recommendation from customers of similar works

Selection of applications: Based on the optimal cost approach, the Customer will select an expert taking into account the combination of:

(a) qualifications, knowledge and skills sufficient to implement the scope of work (70%), and

(b) financial proposal (30% of the total evaluation score).

Trainings of the project “Digital Citizen” in Bishkek

Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan and the country’s largest city by number of inhabitants (over 1 million).

Bishkek is located in the centre of the Chui Valley at the foot of one of the Tien Shan mountain ranges, the Kyrgyz Ala-Too. It is 375 kilometres long and stretches from the Boom Gorge to the Talas region. The highest point of the range (4875 metres) is Semenov-Tyan-Shansky peak.

Bishkek is a very green city. There are many parks, boulevards and squares. Not far from the capital there are green mountains and Ala-Archa National Park. It occupies more than 2200 hectares and is the most popular place of rest for Bishkek residents tired of the city bustle.

The final trainings held across the country under the Digital Personality Project were held in Bishkek on 23-24 January. The event was attended by Taalai Berdiev, Head of the Youth Policy Department of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy, Talant Sultanov, Chairman of the Kyrgyz branch of the Internet Society, and Aizada Yusupova Yusupova, Head of the She starts Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Fund, who shared their views on the relevance of digital skills.

On the first day of training we tried to show by examples how with the help of these digital skills you can achieve economic independence and improve your life from the comfort of your home, country, starting with creating an account in social networks: Instagram, Tik-Tok, Facebook, Google My Business, WhatsApp Business, Telegram.

The second day of training on digital tourism and necessary applications: 2GIS Maps, Booking.com, AirBnB, Expedia, Agoda, Bronevik.com how to register and use room booking platforms such as TripAdvisor.com browsing sites such as Shelter PMS, Edelweiss, Fidelio and webpms Travelline managed to get acquainted and master such systems as hotel management automation.

This will summarise the results of the trainings on training young people, women, migrants in digital tourism and the use of SMM skills in entrepreneurship, held in cooperation with the Foundation for the Development of Entrepreneurship among Women” She starts “in the framework of the project” Promotion of equal opportunities and sustainability of young people “(digital citizen).  Kyzyl-Adyr; Jalal-Abad region: Bazar-Korgon city; Jalal-Abad city; Osh city; In Batken city and Bishkek city, more than 200 young women and girls were trained in basic digital skills on a practical basis.

At the end of the two-day training, the participants were awarded certificates.

Trainigs of the project “Sanarip Insan” in Osh region

Osh was once an important region on the Great Silk Road linking the west and east of the country. In general, Fergana was the largest city in the valley. Silk and sherbets were sold, camel and horse caravans were endless.

Today, the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan has turned into a peculiar region that includes ancient shrines. The city of Osh is the second most populous city after Bishkek. The city of Osh with 3000 years of history is popular with tourists. Thanks to digital tourism and training in the proper use of social networks in business, local residents will have good opportunities for employment without leaving the country. The Sanarip Insan Project trainings were held in Osh oblast to improve the economic well-being of youth and women by increasing digital literacy.

On 19-20 January, an educational training for youth and women “Basic digital skills and work on digital tourism platforms” was held in Osh city. Participants from different districts of Osh province signed up for the training, the project is aimed at increasing the employment potential of rural youth, women and migrants.

These trainings use the MISTT methodology adapted to the country. The mistt methodology (Mobile Internet Skills Trainings Toolkit) is an application for teaching basic mobile internet skills.

Our trainers taught all participants basic digital skills, and all those who came to this training learnt how to use social networks such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Google My Business WhatsApp and Telegram messengers in business.

This event is organised with the financial support of the European Union, the project “Sanarip Insan” “Creation of equal economic opportunities and promotion of youth sustainability”.  It is implemented by the public association “Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Fund (She starts)”.

Trainings of the “Sanarip Insan” project on digital tourism in Batken region

Trainings on “digital tourism” of the Sanarip Insan project were held on January 14-15 in Batken region.

It was attended by about 20 young people, women, single mothers who improved their digital skills in the field of tourism and digital professions.

On the first day of training (January 14), the participants received information about the SMM and got acquainted with the ways of its proper use in business. Facebook Instagram, Tik-Tok platforms, as well as Google Statistics, WhatsApp, Telegram messengers were also taught by the participants how to work with them in practice. As a result, each participant was able to create their own pages on social networks, link them to messengers and learn how to send links.

The second day of the training was dedicated to tourism and its participants directly: it was told about the platforms Google; Airbnb; TripAdvisor; Booking.com and trained in practical use methods.

Following the results of the two-day training, the participants were awarded certificates. The Sanarip Insan project will continue the training caravan in other regions of the country.

Podcasts of the project “Digital Citizen” are on “Osh Pirim” radio

    Now, all podcast episodes of the project “Sanarip insan” are broadcast on air radio “Osh Pirim”. The audience of this radio is more than 1 million listeners daily and all people have a chance to listen to the podcast of this project live on air. Radio “Osh Pirim” is the main source of information in audio format in Osh (population 1.4 million people), Jalal-Abad (population 1.3 million people) and Batken (population 560 thousand people) regions.

    Jalal-Abad, Osh, Batken are the regions with the largest number of external migration. One of the main reasons is unemployment. hrough the podcasts of the Sanarip Insan project, we encourage citizens to master digital skills, become a sought-after specialist in today’s realities, work and earn money without leaving the country. In addition, we encourage housewives – girls and women to start working, have mastered digital skills, and lead a prosperous life. In other words, we try to find answers to questions about how modern technologies change people’s lives, make their lives easier, save time, help them become specialists following modern requirements, tell in simple terms models of digital personalities that closely interact with information technologies, about their path, image and success.

Jalal-Abad region occupies 17% of the country’s territory with a population of 1238.8 million people. This, in turn, creates conditions for improving the economic situation of young people and women with the help of digital skills, without leaving the country. Talas region is the smallest region of the country in terms of area and population, occupying only 6% of its territory with a permanent population of 267.4 thousand people. In addition to the mountains, the Talas region has many cultural attractions. This is a historical region of secluded Kyrgyz residence. The memory of the national hero Manas is kept here, in the vast historical complex “Manas Ordo”. There are also ancient burial sites of the Huns, the largest in Central Asia. And the Kirov reservoir, built in Soviet times, is a unique example of architectural monumentalism of those times. The local population has good opportunities for employment or even for creating new jobs without leaving their country, by means of digital literacy and the proper use of digital skills in entrepreneurship.
