The “Internet Society Kyrgyz Chapter” is conducting training on “Digital Tourism” in the Chon Kemin village

The “Internet Society Kyrgyz Chapter,” with financial support from the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, is conducting training sessions on “Digital Tourism” as part of a project aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship and small business development in the regions. These trainings have reached the village Chon Kemin of the Chui region.

In November 2023, trainers from each of the 10 regions enhanced their knowledge in “Digital Tourism” during an offline session in Bishkek and subsequently shared their expertise with young people, girls, and guest house owners in their respective regions.

On a one-day training session was held in the Talas city, attended by 23 local female residents, youth, and guest house owners. During the training, participants learned how to effectively use Google Maps and 2GIS, and register on tourism platforms such as Booking.com, Airbnb, and TripAdvisor.com. They also gained insights into creating accounts, managing automated hotel systems like the Travelline web PMS, and utilizing social networks such as Instagram, Facebook, and business messenger WhatsApp for their businesses.

Our goal is to empower 500 women in remote mountainous areas of the country with digital literacy, fostering economic independence and prosperity.
