On November 10, 2023, the final of the startup project competition ‘Sanarip Insan’ took place at the Innovation Center with a total prize fund of 27,500 euros or 2.6 million soms.

The startup project competition ‘Sanarip Insan’ was held on the theme: ‘Expanding the opportunities for youth, especially young women, in using advanced digital knowledge and skills to create business projects with insufficient capital,’ aimed at developing and supporting sustainable business models that impact, among other things, the socio-economic life of the population in small towns, rural areas, and among farmers.

Kyrgyz citizens aged 18-35 could submit their ideas in four directions:
IT solutions;
Education;
E-business;
AI.

After defending their startup projects by all participants, the jury members identified the best 8 startup ideas and awarded the winners with certificates for financial support, as well as commemorative gifts.

On December 27, after reconsidering the applications, the remaining 600,000 soms in the prize fund were decided to be awarded to the following teams:

Nurkyz Karypova ‘Techno Girls’ – 260,000 soms
Kadyrova Takhmina ‘Oygonuu’ – 240,000 soms
Adatova Aruuke ‘Kyrgyz Boek’ + 100,000 soms (total 250,000 soms)

“Sanarip Insan” aims to improve digital literacy among young people, women, migrants and people living in remote regions of the country. In particular, it suggests the use of digital platforms, learning the functions of social networks, digital financial applications, the use of information technology in online commerce and entrepreneurship, and ways of sustainable development through green economy. The project is implemented by the European Neighbourhood Council and the Internet Society Kyrgyz Chapter, with the support of the European Union.

“The Internet Society Kyrgyz Chapter,” with financial support from the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, conducted a two-day training aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship and small business development in the regions. The training focused on digital tourism and aimed to select and train participants from 10 regions of the country to become trainers and experts in this field.

Future trainers and experts in “Digital tourism” were provided detailed information on platforms such as Google Business, Google Maps, 2GIS, Booking.com, and digital marketing such as WhatsApp Business, Instagram, Facebook, Airbnb, Shelter, Travelline PMS, Edelweiss PMS.

At the conclusion of the two-day training, all participants received certificates. Following the training, each participant signed a cooperation agreement with the Digital Citizen Project. 

They committed to sharing their knowledge with youth, women, and others in their respective fields, as well as assisting them in registering on the aforementioned platforms.

Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan and the country’s largest city by number of inhabitants (over 1 million).

Bishkek is located in the centre of the Chui Valley at the foot of one of the Tien Shan mountain ranges, the Kyrgyz Ala-Too. It is 375 kilometres long and stretches from the Boom Gorge to the Talas region. The highest point of the range (4875 metres) is Semenov-Tyan-Shansky peak.

Bishkek is a very green city. There are many parks, boulevards and squares. Not far from the capital there are green mountains and Ala-Archa National Park. It occupies more than 2200 hectares and is the most popular place of rest for Bishkek residents tired of the city bustle.

The final trainings held across the country under the Digital Personality Project were held in Bishkek on 23-24 January. The event was attended by Taalai Berdiev, Head of the Youth Policy Department of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy, Talant Sultanov, Chairman of the Kyrgyz branch of the Internet Society, and Aizada Yusupova Yusupova, Head of the She starts Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Fund, who shared their views on the relevance of digital skills.

On the first day of training we tried to show by examples how with the help of these digital skills you can achieve economic independence and improve your life from the comfort of your home, country, starting with creating an account in social networks: Instagram, Tik-Tok, Facebook, Google My Business, WhatsApp Business, Telegram.

The second day of training on digital tourism and necessary applications: 2GIS Maps, Booking.com, AirBnB, Expedia, Agoda, Bronevik.com how to register and use room booking platforms such as TripAdvisor.com browsing sites such as Shelter PMS, Edelweiss, Fidelio and webpms Travelline managed to get acquainted and master such systems as hotel management automation.

This will summarise the results of the trainings on training young people, women, migrants in digital tourism and the use of SMM skills in entrepreneurship, held in cooperation with the Foundation for the Development of Entrepreneurship among Women” She starts “in the framework of the project” Promotion of equal opportunities and sustainability of young people “(digital citizen).  Kyzyl-Adyr; Jalal-Abad region: Bazar-Korgon city; Jalal-Abad city; Osh city; In Batken city and Bishkek city, more than 200 young women and girls were trained in basic digital skills on a practical basis.

At the end of the two-day training, the participants were awarded certificates.

Osh was once an important region on the Great Silk Road linking the west and east of the country. In general, Fergana was the largest city in the valley. Silk and sherbets were sold, camel and horse caravans were endless.

Today, the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan has turned into a peculiar region that includes ancient shrines. The city of Osh is the second most populous city after Bishkek. The city of Osh with 3000 years of history is popular with tourists. Thanks to digital tourism and training in the proper use of social networks in business, local residents will have good opportunities for employment without leaving the country. The Sanarip Insan Project trainings were held in Osh oblast to improve the economic well-being of youth and women by increasing digital literacy.

On 19-20 January, an educational training for youth and women “Basic digital skills and work on digital tourism platforms” was held in Osh city. Participants from different districts of Osh province signed up for the training, the project is aimed at increasing the employment potential of rural youth, women and migrants.

These trainings use the MISTT methodology adapted to the country. The mistt methodology (Mobile Internet Skills Trainings Toolkit) is an application for teaching basic mobile internet skills.

Our trainers taught all participants basic digital skills, and all those who came to this training learnt how to use social networks such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Google My Business WhatsApp and Telegram messengers in business.

This event is organised with the financial support of the European Union, the project “Sanarip Insan” “Creation of equal economic opportunities and promotion of youth sustainability”.  It is implemented by the public association “Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Fund (She starts)”.

Trainings on “digital tourism” of the Sanarip Insan project were held on January 14-15 in Batken region.

It was attended by about 20 young people, women, single mothers who improved their digital skills in the field of tourism and digital professions.

On the first day of training (January 14), the participants received information about the SMM and got acquainted with the ways of its proper use in business. Facebook Instagram, Tik-Tok platforms, as well as Google Statistics, WhatsApp, Telegram messengers were also taught by the participants how to work with them in practice. As a result, each participant was able to create their own pages on social networks, link them to messengers and learn how to send links.

The second day of the training was dedicated to tourism and its participants directly: it was told about the platforms Google; Airbnb; TripAdvisor; Booking.com and trained in practical use methods.

Following the results of the two-day training, the participants were awarded certificates. The Sanarip Insan project will continue the training caravan in other regions of the country.

Jalal-Abad region occupies 17% of the country’s territory with a population of 1238.8 million people. The tourism potential of Jalal-Abad is very strong, as it is known for the Arslanbob walnut forest, the Sary-Chelek lake, the Toktogul reservoir, the Kyzyl-Unkur and Kok-Art natural reserves. This, in turn, creates conditions for improving the economic situation of young people and women with the help of digital skills, without leaving the country. The training of the Sanarip Insan project is aimed at improving digital literacy among young people and women in the regions.On December 19, the first day of a two-day educational training for young people and women on the topic “Basic digital skills and working on digital tourism platforms” began in Jalal-Abad. Talas region is the smallest region of the country in terms of area and population, occupying only 6% of its territory with a permanent population of 267.4 thousand people. In addition to the mountains, the Talas region has many cultural attractions. This is a historical region of secluded Kyrgyz residence. The memory of the national hero Manas is kept here, in the vast historical complex “Manas Ordo”. There are also ancient burial sites of the Huns, the largest in Central Asia. And the Kirov reservoir, built in Soviet times, is a unique example of architectural monumentalism of those times. The local population has good opportunities for employment or even for creating new jobs without leaving their country, by means of digital literacy and the proper use of digital skills in entrepreneurship.

По заказу Министерства культуры, информации, спорта и молодежной политики Кыргызской Республики в рамках молодежной платформы “Келечек”  “Кыргызское отделение Интернет Общества” совместно с “Европейским советом соседства”  реализует проект “Продвижение равных экономических возможностей и устойчивости молодежи – ” цифровая личность”. Он финансируется Европейским Союзом.

9-10 ноября в Кочкорском районе Нарынской области начались двухдневные тренинги, проводимые в рамках проекта “Продвижение равных экономических возможностей и устойчивости молодежи – ” цифровая личность”.

Обучение проводилось 2 дня, в течение которых молодые люди и женщины оттачивали свои базовые цифровые навыки и знания в соответствии с методологией MISTT (Mobile Internet Skills Training Toolkit) для работы на цифровых туристических платформах и эффективного использования социальных сетей в бизнесе, таких как Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Google; Мой бизнес, мессенджеры Whatsapp, Telegram, Google.com и карты 2GIS, а также научились регистрировать и использовать платформы бронирования номеров, такие как,  Booking.com, AirBnB, Expedia, Agoda, Bronevik.com TripAdvisor.com просматривая такие сайты, как Shelter PMS, Edelweiss, Fidelio и webpms Travelline изучили такие системы, как автоматизация управления отелями.

В двухдневном тренинге приняли участие более 20 жителей Кочкора, среди которых были молодые люди, женщины и предприниматели. По итогам двухдневного обучения участникам были вручены сертификаты.

Проект “Санарип Инсан” направлен на повышение цифровой грамотности молодежи, женщин, мигрантов и жителей отдаленных районов нашей страны. В частности, он предлагает обучение функциям социальных сетей, использованию цифровых платформ, цифровым финансовым приложениям, информационным технологиям в онлайн-торговле и предпринимательстве, а также путям устойчивого развития через зеленую экономику. Проект реализуется Советом Европейского соседства и “Кыргызским Отделением Интернет Общества” при финансовой поддержке Европейского союза.
