On July 22, 2022, a training on the topic “Cyber Hygiene” was held for members of the Association for the Development of Education in Kyrgyzstan.

The speaker was the members of the Tech 4 Society team Khalil Ibrahim, he shared information:
— about the methods of using and recognizing phishing;
— about protecting devices from malware;
— about creating a strong password;
— and other useful information for the participants.

The participants also had a great opportunity to use their knowledge in practice during the training.

On July 15, 2022, an online training on the topic “Cyber Hygiene” was held for members of the Association of Microfinance Organizations, the speaker was members of the Tech4Society team Khalil Ibrahim Bilgich and Altynai Bakytbekova.

The speakers told:
— about protecting the organization by training employees in cyber hygiene;
— cybersecurity in the financial sector;
— spreading viruses and malicious links via e-mail;
— how to check emails correctly so as not to infect the device with a virus.

They also shared information about the project and about the opportunities provided for NGOs within the framework of the project.

On July 6, 2022, a training was held for members of the Public Association «Lawyers of the Fergana Valley without Borders» on the topic: «Cybergigien».

Speaker Khalil Ibrahim held a training session on cyber hygiene, talked about different ways to protect devices, as well as secure communication, namely, how to protect communications in messengers using VPN.

After the end of the training part, the participants asked the questions they were interested in and received exhaustive answers to them.

Imagine that a fraudster has found out your password and wants to log into your Instagram to ask for money from friends on your behalf. He enters the password, enters the application and starts sending out pitiful messages that supposedly you urgently need help. Your friends are worried and send money. Later you come in and realize that you have been hacked, and the scammers have already received a significant amount from a lot of people.

It’s good that there is a way to protect yourself from hacking — this is two-factor authentication.

If you have enabled two-factor authentication, the situation will develop differently. The fraudster will enter the password, but will not log in to the account, because you need to specify the code from the Application (google authenticator) that will come to your phone or application. If the fraudster does not have access to your phone, then he will not get access to your profile.

If you didn’t have time to connect it or don’t know what it is, it’s worth spending a few minutes on this publication and protecting your profiles.

30 июня 2022 года в рамках проекта «Акселератор онлайн сообществ» прошел онлайн тренинг по Кибербезопасности, гостевым спикером выступил член команды Tech4Society Халил Ибрахим Билгич. Он поделился основами кибербезопасности, интернет — гигиены, безопасной работы онлайн и другой полезной и необходимой информацией для неправительственных организаций. Также он рассказал о проекте и поделился контактами для обращения по вопросам организации обучающих мероприятий по кибербезопасности и возможностью получения бесплатного сканирования веб сервисов для НКО.

Участниками мероприятия были: представители неправительственных организаций, которые работают в разных сферах: Ассоциация общинных СМИ, ОФ TB poeple, ОФ Текайым, Институт общественного анализа, Центр гражданского развития, ОФ «Шоола Көл» по раннему вмешательству.

В рамках программы «Акселератор онлайн сообществ» планируется проведение 11 тренерских сессий, также менторские занятия для запуска онлайн кампаний. Участники проекта будут обращать внимание на тематики которые проходили в тренингах и будут использовать их при проведении онлайн кампаний. С 11 июля все участники запустят свои онлайн кампании через разные онлайн платформы и соц медиа.
