In April 2016, as part of the annual meeting of representatives of ISOC Chapters, a round table was held. During the round table, the issues of interaction between ISOC offices and local governments were discussed, also ISOC members shared examples of their experience. In addition, questions were raised regarding the current situation in the legislation on encryption in their countries, as well as policies and initiatives for filtering content in our countries. At the end of the meeting, the participants outlined possible topics regarding new policies for further consideration.
The event was attended by Bermet Imanalieva, co-founder of the Internet Society Kyrgyz Chapter.
